Epic Games has settled the Loot Box lawsuit with free digital currency

Epic Games has announced (https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/news/fortnite-save-the-world-loot-llama-purchasers-to-receive-1000-v-bucks) that as part of the class action lawsuit settlement, they will be crediting 1,000 V-bucks to anyone who previously purchased a loot box in Fortnite. The loot box named being called “Loot Llama”. While this settlement only applies to US players, Epic has decided to extend the offer worldwide despite the restrictions attached to the Fortnite loot box lawsuit.

The Fortnite loot box lawsuit might be over now but is another catch. Only those who bought the Loot Llama boxes will be getting the V-bucks, the X-Ray Llama boxes are not included. Those who bought the X-ray boxes will not be getting anything. Rocket League players will also be benefiting from the Epic Games loot box lawsuit. Players who previously bought a loot box, event crate or kets wioll be getting 1,000 in-game credits. As part of the Epic Games loot box lawsuit, it’s possible to claim harm from the purchases of loot boxes and parents can also submit claims for unauthorized purchases too.
